Lost Records : VFX Cinematics

With Lost Records, I came back with the narrative driven game like Life Is Strange 2 before it. So I had the chance to work on some cinematics. Nothing to complicated. We kept it simple. Just some effects for the dressing. I almost stayed with the basic effects I did for the insects or the nature. The specific effect were the impact of the rocket, the butterfly on Nora's shoulder and the falling dust when the friends cross the bridge in the forest.

When Swann go out of the forest. I worked on the fake dust bokeh and sun's lens flare, pollen, leaves, wind trails and fog sheets effects.

When the friends recover the keys but the rocket fall. I worked on the flashlight's fake volumetric lighting and lens flare, the impact smoke and pebbles, pollen and wind trails particle systems.

When Swann scares a butterfly to fly off Nora's shoulder. I worked on the dusts particles, crawling insects on the table and the butterfly's animation and behaviour.

When the friends discover an abandoned house in the woods. I worked on the flashlight's fake volumetric lighting and lens flare, dusts, resting and flying moths, leaves and fog sheets.

One of the first from the game introducing Swann. I worked on the butterflies, leaves, flies, wind trails and splashes particles systems.
